Gossamer Gear Mariposa 60L

This pack is a perfect combination of simplicity, durability, and comfort. It doesn’t come with the same number of attachment points as a Z-pack or an Osprey, but it does have several big, fat pockets you can cram things into. One tall pocket on one side and two smaller pockets stacked vertically on the other side allow you to carry 3 liters of water, a cook kit, and possibly even an umbrella. All without even utilizing the front mesh pocket. Which is also large. With internal aluminum stays and a removable hip belt and back pad, along with load lifters and wide shoulder straps, the Mariposa can adjust to almost any hiker. I’ve personally taken this pack over 300 miles of rugged terrain and drug it through thick brush and over rocks and logs of all kinds. I’ve taken a few tumbles wearing it as well. I can confidently say that this pack is tougher than I am, and I would highly recommend it.
