3F UL Gear Lanshan 1 Pro Tent

For full transparency I did not like this tent in it’s first iteration but this latest model has made vast improvements. If you are looking to travel fast and light on a budget, this may be a tent you want to look into. This tent is a single-walled tent that allows a person of approximately 6 feet in height to sleep comfortably without touching the walls of the tent. Keep in mind that it is a single-walled tent, so you will be making some compromises for the lighter weight. The most notable concession will be that single-walled tents do build up condensation and have to be wiped down periodically. The second is that, while there is plenty of room to sleep, there will not be much else; if you are claustrophobic, this may not be the tent for you. However, there is plenty of pocket space for your small items inside the tent and plenty of room for your boots and backpack in the vestibule. Check out my review of the Lanshan 1 Pro on YouTube.

3F UL GEAR Lanshan 2 Tent

Just because an item is inexpensive doesn’t mean it has to be poor quality and the Lanshan 2 is a perfect example of this. This is a double-walled tent that is easy to set up and is perfect for those backpackers who are just starting out with tents that are set up with trekking poles. I have used this tent extensively, both on solo trips and on backpacking trips with my family. This tent has been bomb-proof. Check out our videos on the Oregon Coast Trail (hyperlink), where we used this tent on a 200-mile trip, where it was wet almost every day for 3 weeks. At a price point that is less than half of most trekking pole tents, the Lanshan 2 is an excellent choice for those hiking on a budget.
